Conductors and ropes

Conductors and ropes are used in:

- cable industry, as a semi-product in the form of a conductor for production of cables,
- power distribution networks in the electric-power industry, as earthing ropes

Conductors can be made of copper (Cu), aluminum (Al) and aluminum alloys (AlMgSi).

Copper (Cu) conductors can be designed as single- and multi-wire, round or sector shaped.

 

 

Conductors from aluminum (Al) and aluminum alloys (AlMgSi) can be only multi-wire, and by their shape, round or sector shaped.

Ropes can be made of copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al).

Copper (Cu) ropes are used as power system underground  (soft style) and for overhead power lines (hard style ).
