    Good results for Eurocable Group

    In 2012, the power cable manufacturer Eurocable Group achieved a significant increase of the sale and the income with a concurrent reduction of the operating costs in relation to the year ago, which resulted in a positive gross operating profit (EBITDA) in the amount of kn 8.75 million, the company announced today.

    In the past year, the incomes from sale of Eurocable Group increased by 14.7% compared to 2011 and amounted to kn 758.37 million.

    Eurocable Group was founded in 1999 . Today it consists of the parent company Eurocable Group d.d. from Zagreb and group members: Eurocable group – Zagreb, Eurocable Group Handels – Vienna and Eurocable – Belgrade.

    The consolidated income from sale of all the group members was increased by 12.3% in the past year and amounted to Kn 789.04 million,  while the consolidated gross operating profit (EBITDA) amounted to Kn 8.5 million.

    HEP and the consortium Domaći proizvođači kabela (Domestic Cable Producers) signed the contract on the delivery of power supply cables in the value of kn 287 mil.

    HEP d.d. and the consortium Domaći proizvođači kabela d.o.o. (Domestic Cable Producers Ltd.) signed the contract on the delivery of cables in the value of kn 287 mil. The leading companies in the cable production segment in Croatia – Elka and Eurocable d.o.o., jointly offered the best solution according to the requirements of the tender of Hrvatska elektroprivreda, invited in mid-July.

    Eurocable Group signed the contract with Glencore worth 100 million dollars

    The Swiss company Glencore will deliver 13,000 tons of copper cathodes to the leading manufacturer of electrical lines and cables in the markets of Central and Southeastern Europe, the company Eurocable Group, under the contract signed between the two companies. The total value of the contract is USD 100 million.

    Eurocable Group strengthened its operation by appointing new members of the Management Board and the Supervisory Board; in the first quarter, the increase in the total incomes of 41.4% was recorded.

    The leading manufacturer of electrical lines and cables in the markets of Central and Southeastern Europe, Eurocable Group, strengthened the management of the company by appointing new members of the Management Board and the Supervisory Board. At the yesterday’s general assembly of the company, Tomislav Rosandić was appointed a member of the Management Board for accounting, finance and risk management. Želimir Vukina was appointed the chairman of the Supervisory Board, Tatjana Rukavina is a new member of this body, while Nevenka Cerovsky is a new/old member. Tihana Jurčević was appointed the assistant to the chairman of the Management Board.

    Eurocable Group signed export contracts with leading German and Austrian cable distributors.

    The leading manufacturer of electrical lines and cables in the markets of Central and Southeastern Europe, the company Eurocable Group, signed export contracts with big cable distributors, the Austrian company Meinhart Kabel, and the German company Faber Kabel, worth EUR 70 million. With the already existing contracts, partnerships are in question that ensure the sale of almost all the annual production capacities of the company, on the basis of which the total annual incomes of one billion kuna have been anticipated in 2012.

    Eurocable Group started production of copper wire among the first ones in the region, increasing quality of services and lowering the operating costs.

    The leading manufacturer of electrical lines and cables in the markets of Central and Southeastern Europe, Eurocable Group, has launched the production of copper wire in the recently opened plant in the municipality of Jakovlje. The company was among the first in the region that invested in this type of production, and became one of the few European cable manufacturers supplied with the copper wire inside the company. Thereby, Eurocable Group achieved a greater control over product quality and its delivery time, reduction of the operating costs and, above all, managing of the origin of goods and the production.

    Eurocable Group put into operation a new factory in Jakovlje

    After a little over a year of construction, Eurocable Group d.d., a manufacturer of electric lines and cables based in Zagreb, put into operation its new factory in the business zone in the municipality of Jakovlje today. By the end of 2008, by signing the contract with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) from London, Eurocable Group began the project of expanding the production capacities with the total value of EUR 25 million. EBRD has participated in this project as a partner, with additional capitalization of EUR 15.5 million, by which it entered in the ownership structure, while the remaining EUR 9.5 million were ensured by the company from its own sources.
